This is the year for Preservation’s annual home tour. We are featuring the country homes of Highway 227 on September 22 & 23. The tour will include Matt & Kami Good’s converted historic school house, Rex & Gwen Burk’s new farm house and Rick & Lori Comer’s new farm home. The final stop on the tour was to be the historic Union Literary Institute which was almost completely demolished by the recent June wind storm. The ticket cost for the tour is $8.00 good either Saturday or Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Tickets will be available at the Antique Mall or at each house the days of the tour. You can reserve a ticket by calling Allen and Betsy Jefferis at 765-964-5658. Note further in this newsletter that we are hosting a Progressive Evening event on Saturday September 22 as a moneymaker for our newest project.
Preservation will host the Progressive Evening in conjunction with the home tour on Saturday, September 22 beginning at 6:30 PM at 207 East Elm St., Union City Ohio. The evening begins with a complementary wine and heavy Hors d’ Oeuvres. From there, you will move to the Pipes on 226 Plum St. for dessert, beverages and entertainment. The cost of attending the event is $15.00. Tickets for the home tour can be bought separately for $8.00 good for either Saturday or Sunday 1-5 PM.
