It's Our Birthday!

One year ago, we started Union City Now as a central location for positive and relevant information regarding our community. But that's not the only reason, we also wanted to broadcast a positive image of Union City to the world wide web.

Our #1 goal is to be at the top of the page when one Google's "Union City Indiana/Ohio". Why? If people look online before trying a new restaurant, you can bet for sure they look online before moving to or opening a business in an unknown community. We know we are not a perfect community. But neither is Greenville, Winchester, or Ansonia. Every community has it's problems. But that doesn't mean we can't be the right community for talented, creative, and hard working people. To attract and attain these individuals and become a growing community, they need to be aware of all the great things we have here, and in our surrounding areas.

Our minimal amount of advertising helps cover some of our costs of running the website, but being a part of a prospering community is where our potential for real wealth lies. And this is something all of us can share in.

If you haven't checked out our homepage for awhile, we encourage you to do so. We have an instagram photo feed that enables YOU to take a photo and have it posted directly on the UCN homepage in a matter of seconds. We have forums discussing Union City, Randolph County, and Darke County history. We have dedicated pages for UC and MV sports updates. We have a live feed from KISS TV. We have links to streaming audio from three local radio stations.

For UCN to continue to grow, we need your help. We are always looking for people to help us write stories, submit information, or help in any other way.  We do not want UCN to have a narrow perspective, so we need as many contributors as possible. If you think you'd be interested you can email

What a great year it has been. Being a part of Union City Now has enabled us to meet new and wonderful people in our community. Thank you Union City for a wonderful year. May there be many more!
