Benefit For Leon Johnson

Saturday, December 10, 2011

@ Wesley United Methodist Church

Union City, IN

12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

On September 7th, 2011 Leon was involved in a very serious, single car auto accident and suffered a severe brain injury, a broken leg, and a collapsed lung.  He was in a coma and the doctors didn’t have much hope for him to talk and walk again.  He is awake and is walking with the help of a walker but is still on a long road to recovery.  He is in the hospital at Dodd Hall, Columbus, OH.  He has been enduring surgeries and intense therapy sessions.  His return to work is going to be well into the future if this is possible at all.  When released he will be in the care of his parents, Beverly and Floyd, as he is unable to care for himself at the present.

On May 20, 2011, he lost the love of his life to lung cancer.  They have two daughters ages 9 and 13 that are being affected by both tragedies every day.

Join us for Kids Games, Food, Drinks, Baked Goods, and Craft Items, plus we have some amazing items in our Silent Auction !!!

Leon is a 1989 graduate of Randolph Southern, and then moved with his family to Lancaster, OH

There will be food and crafts available for purchase, along with a brand new Ibanez Acoustic Guitar ( m.s.r.p. $249.99) that comes with a tuner, strap, picks, and carrying case. This was donated by Bach to Rock Music in Greenville along with Grovehill. The members of Grovehill autographed the guitar and it will be offered for silent auction.
